Portugal vs Switzerland Prediction & Betting Tips (6 December)

On Tuesday 6 December at 8 pm the last eighth final of the World Cup will be played in Qatar with Portugal challenging Switzerland, whoever wins will play against one between Spain and Morocco. The Lusitanians finished first in the group by beating Ghana 3-2 and Uruguay 2-0 in the first two matches, only struggling towards the end of the first match. In the third match, the 2-1 defeat against South Korea arrived, nothing serious given that the next round was already in the pocket and first place was not in danger. On the other hand, Switzerland's path was different, winning the first match against Cameroon 1-0 and then losing with the same result against Brazil, finding themselves facing a real play-off against Serbia on the last day.

A draw would have been enough for the Swiss, but the 3-2 success arrived which gave them second place in the group. The match will be played at the Lusail National Stadium which will also host the final on 18 December.

At least one of the two goalkeepers has emerged with a clean sheet from each of the previous five Portugal matches in the World Cup 2022, so there is no reason to see this pattern changing against Switzerland. One reason for this is that it has also been the case in each of the Toffees’ last three away games at this level, so both teams are on the same page.
