Utrecht vs Genk Prediction & Betting Tips (22 January)

What a flawed European campaign for Utrecht, unable to win a single game in this Europa League with the only satisfaction being their 1-1 draw against Porto. A real feat in view of Porto's season, literally unplayable. For the rest, five defeats took place in the Dutch record, against Nottingham Forest 1-2, Betis Sevilla 2-1, Friborg 2-0, Brann 1-0 and Lyon 0-1. In all competitions, Utrecht have lost their last three matches. In the league, against PSV 1-2 and last weekend on the pitch of FC Volendam 2-1 without forgetting his exit in the 1/8th final of the Dutch Cup against Twente 1-2. The Belgian club is doing much better than its opponent in the Europa League with a convincing 16th place with 10 points, just 3 points behind Porto, 8th. The experienced striker S.Haller (ex-Dortmund), the former Lorient player Yoann Cathline and V.Jensen (5 goals in 8 appearances in the league) will be very helpful. Note the emergence of young Dutch international hopeful Zechiel, however suspended this evening (accumulation of yellow cards). Injured since the end of 2025, the interesting Noah Adedeji-Sternberg has not returned to competition and will most likely be missing today.

Selected for the CAN with the DRC, Joris Kayembe (1 assist in the championship) has still not played for club again and remains highly uncertain (rest?). South Korean international Hyeon-Gyu Oh (6 goals, 3 assists in the league) will be traveling to the Netherlands, like Moroccan Zakaria El Ouahdi (not selected for the CAN, 4 goals, 2 assists in the league). The precious midfielders I.Bangoura, D.Heymans and B.Heynen will be relevant today.
