Hibernian vs Motherwell Prediction & Betting Tips (2 January)

High-flying Hibernian have been in tremendous form on their own patch of late, securing six wins in eight matches, and they are unbeaten in seven top-flight fixtures against these opponents, winning three of the last four. Motherwell, meanwhile, have found the going tough on their Premiership travels for quite some time, recording just three wins in 17 games.

Over the course of their previous nine home games at this level, Hibernian have been involved in just a single fixture that has produced more than two goals. Given that 12 of the last 17 Motherwell away matches in the Premiership have also served up under 2.5 goals, including a couple at the home stadium, more of the same should be expected here.

It would be fair to say that Hibernian have not been the most exciting team to watch recently, with only three of their last 12 Premiership matches producing goals at both ends. Given that ten of the previous 12 Motherwell away games at this level have also seen at least one of the two keepers emerging with a clean sheet, do not expect both teams to find the net.
