South Sudan vs Senegal Prediction & Betting Tips (10 October)

South Sudan has yet to win a single game in this qualifying campaign. His three points were made official via draws with Mauritania in September 0-0, Sudan in March 1-1 and against Togo on the 3rd day 1-1. Currently bottom of this group B, South Sudan no longer has any hope of qualifying and will aim for at least one prestigious success today.  On deck during the last two editions of the World Cup, including a place in the 1/8 finals in Qatar, Senegal is currently in pole position to achieve a third successive World Cup. However, we must not let up the pressure on the Senegalese who are only two steps ahead of the DRC.

A long-awaited first place for the Lions of Teranga and recovered in September at the expense of the DRC following a 2-3 away victory when they were down two goals to nothing. A few days earlier, Senegal had beaten Sudan 2-0. Now it would be a matter of consolidating this first place, not losing it again and going to the United States without having to go through the play-offs. 

Within this South Sudan selection, no player really stands out by playing in a major championship or a team referenced in Europe.  Of the 13 goals scored by the Lions of Teranga, 4 came from Tottenham resident: Pape Matar Sarr (33 sel). For the record, these four goals are the only four goals he has scored for the national team. Note also the prolific campaign of central defender Kalidou Koulibaly (93 sel) who scored his two goals for the selection during this qualifying campaign. The latter two are present for this last qualifying camp alongside Diatta (Monaco, 49 sel), Moussa Niakhaté (Lyon), Antoine Mendy (Nice) and Mbow (PFC).

Midfielders Gana Gueye (Everton, 117 caps), the return of Nampalys Mendy (Watford, 34 caps), Pepe Gueye (Villarreal, 30 caps), Pathé Ciss (Rayo Vallecano) and Lamine Camara (Monaco) have been summoned. Offensively, Sadio Mané (111 caps, 45 pawns), Ismaïla Sarr (Crystal Palace, 72 sels, 16 goals), Nicolas Jackson (Bayern Munich), Iliman Ndiaye (Everton) and Cheick Sabaly (Metz, 6 sels). Due to the last minute absence of Boulaye Dia (Lazio), Pape Thiaw (coach) decided to call up Habib Diallo (1 goal, 2 assists in this qualifying phase).
