Morocco vs Comoros Prediction & Betting Tips (21 December)

4th in the last World Cup and qualified for the next edition in the United States next summer, this CAN, which Morocco of course wants to win, will serve somewhere to prepare the troops for Group C, made up of Brazil, Scotland and Haiti. The Moroccans have only won the CAN once in their history, in 1976. Finalist in 2004, since then, nothing more for Walid Regragui's gang. Playing at home in the competition, Morocco will have to do better than the round of 16 in the previous edition. Remember that the Moroccans won their 8 qualifying matches for the World Cup by scoring 22 goals and only 2 conceded. Before that, they were either ineligible or simply not qualified. In 2021, for its baptism of fire, the Comoros did well by reaching the round of 16 but were eliminated at this stage of the competition. It's time for revenge for the Comorian selection which still had a very good qualifying campaign for the World Cup, finishing fourth in its group with a total of 15 points to its non-qualified purse all the same. 

Cut out by Luis Diaz in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, the emblematic Achraf Hakimi (PSG) was fighting against time to be back in time to compete in the competition. The PSG full-back figures well in the group unlike Diop (Nice), Sahraoui (Lille), Amine Adli (Bournemouth), Sannadi (Bilbao, injured) or the talented Hamza Igamane (Lille, 7 sel, 2 goals) reserve. Others have been victims of the strong competition and the enormous pool of Moroccan football, which is in full expansion. We are thinking in particular of Ziyech, the seriously injured Riad (Crystal Palace) and Sofiane Boufal. The Moroccan group is still well stocked, particularly offensively with Youssef En-Nesyri (Fenerbahce, 85 sel, 25 goals), Ayoub El Kaabi (Olympiakos, 47 sel, 17 goals), wingers Ezzalzouli (Bétis), Brahim Diaz (Real Madrid, 15 sel, 8 goals) and Ilyas Akhomach (Villarreal). In the middle, despite his recent injury at Bétis, Sofyan Amrabat (70 caps) is present as is Ounahi (Girona, 43 sel, 9 goals), Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart), Ben Seghir (Leverkusen), Targhalline (Feyenoord) and El Anynaoui (Roma). Defensively, Marseillais Aguerd (57 caps) was summoned by Walid Regragui.

In goal, Bono (Al-Hilal) will start.  Among the Comoros, well-known faces from France will be in the mix, starting with the leader of the squad: Youssouf M'Changama (70 sels, 14 goals), who played for En-Avant Guingamp, or even defender Akim Abdallah, current EAG player. Having passed through Sainté and Bordeaux, Zaydou Zoussouf will be there as will Saïd Bakari (Sparta Rotterdam). In the middle, Rayan Lutin (Amiens), Yacine Bourhane (Aris Limassol), Iyad Mohamed (Casa Pia), Rermy Vita (Tondela) and Benjaloud Youssouf (Sochaux) were called up. Offensively, the exemplary Myziane Maolida (Al Kholood), author of 4 goals during the World Cup qualifying phase, will answer the call just like Rafiki Saïd (3 goals, 2 assists with Standard de Liège this season).
