Clermont vs Pau FC Prediction & Betting Tips (13 March)

Although it only occupies 14th place in the ranking, Clermont Foot seems to have done the hardest in the race to maintain its position. He actually has a relatively comfortable margin of 5 points on the play-off before the last 8 days and can therefore see it coming even if he will still have to take a few points between now and the end of the season. Grégory Proment's men have had some good performances in recent weeks, winning against Boulogne 0-2 then at home against Dunkirk 2-0. On the other hand, the Auvergnats had to give up their weapons last week against the Trojan leader, not really helped by the refereeing. Pau, for its part, no longer has much to really hope for in recent days.

After having long monopolized the top 5 during the first part of this exercise, this team lost contact with the best in recent months and it fell to 11th position in the ranking, 6 lengths from the 5th qualifying place for the play-offs. Not really celebrating in recent weeks, Thierry Debès' men had suffered 3 defeats in a row against Boulogne 1-2, Troyes 4-3 and against Saint-Etienne 0-3. But last weekend, the Béarnais finally stopped this bad series by holding the red lantern Bastiaise to a draw at home 2-2. 

Regularly affected by physical problems this year, the former Bordeaux player Saivet will not be fit for this meeting. In addition to this,  the important Customs is also in the infirmary. Return planned on the other hand of the middle emblematic Gastien who was suspended for an accumulation of boxes yellow last week. Up front, the Auvergnats can count on some fairly prolific players.

We think of the striker on loan from Nantes Kader Bamba (8 goals) who scored last week against Troyes and especially the in-form man Diedhiou. He has 10 goals scored this season in L2.
