NBA 2025 latest News and Predictions
Stay ahead of the game with our latest NBA blog! Get the inside scoop on the latest news, scores, and expert predictions.

Roughly a month into the newest edition of the NBA season and already there are plenty of storylines that fans need to know about. While it may have seemed like we got everything figured out before the start, many of the early predictions fell through as some rather unexpected developments took place. Injuries are already piling up, expected contenders are struggling, and there is an overall feeling of uncertainty and unfamiliarity because of these unexpected factors. One thing is certain: it is still rather exciting to see the best of the best go at it night in and night out.
Because of all this, it is not easy for someone deeply invested in the best that basketball has to offer. No longer can you watch a game and know full well who is taking it before it actually finishes. Anything can happen and a bunch of stuff is happening. So how can an average fan of the NBA, or more importantly, an online sports betting enthusiast, prepare for a full slate of games? Is it possible to do enough research and should you trust the odds the bookies make? To these and other questions, we give answers in the following guide. Read on if you love basketball for the newest news, speculations, and predictions.
Struggling Playoff Teams
Two of the bigger stories deal with teams that were expected to make early pushes for the top of the standings and eventually make a deep playoff run. These are mainly the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Considering the names in their ranks and their past success, one of them more so than the other, they should be good for most of the season, right? Well, it seems like that will not be the case this season. It is already looking very bad for them and we have barely scratched the surface.Let us start with Philly. The City of Brotherly Love has been Trusting the Process for years now, but alas, it was to no avail. After numerous disappointments and experiments with stars past their prime, Joel Embiid somehow won an MVP and everyone’s spirits were high. Then, of course, his injuries continued as he was still unable to finish a season and take the team past the second round. Now, he has yet to play a single game this season. He was involved in two controversies already.
First, he said that if it were up to him, he would never play in back-to-back games until the end of his career. For this, the league launched an investigation into Philadelphia’s conducting of player absences. Then, the shoved a reporter in the locker room and got suspended for three games. And all of this after missing the first few games due to injury. It cannot get any worse, can it? Well, Tyrese Maxey is out for several weeks with a hamstring injury and Paul George is a bit rusty after missing the first several games of the season. All in all, the 76ers are one of the worst teams right now with a 1-7 record and dead last in the Eastern Conference. Betting against them would not be a bad idea going forward.
Right above them with an abysmal 2-7 record are the Milwaukee Bucks, who, compared to Philly, are not struggling with any drama or major injuries to their stars. Sure, Khris Middleton is absent still and is yet to appear this season, but they are used to it by now. Their struggles come from a few other places. First off, it does seem like Doc Rivers is the greatest fraud in NBA coaching in the last 20 years. Since he took over, everything has gone downhill. Losing Jrue Holiday and getting Damian Lillard proved like a mistake as the team is struggling mightily on the defensive end and the duo of Giannis Antetokiunpo and Lillard cannot carry the entire offense on their own. If one of them misses a game, it is a definite loss, and they do tend to miss a game from time to time.
The lack of help from the bench as well as the remainder of the starting five is simply not enough to compete in the East right now. Other teams are younger, faster, and more talented, while the Bucks are the oldest team in the league with an average age of 30.4 years. All you need to know about their roster struggles is the fact that they are playing a 36-year-old Brook Lopez for 30 minutes a game. There is no end in sight to their struggles and Giannis constantly appears in trade rumors. It would be one of the biggest shakeups in the history of the league if or when the Bucks make a move. This cannot go on for much longer as frustration is already at a peak.
Cavaliers are for Real
On the opposite end of the spectrum are the incredible Cleveland Cavaliers who have run out of the gate to start the season and kept on sprinting. Throw a hurdle at them and they will clear it by a mile. Nothing seems to be phasing them as they opened the new campaign with a 10-0 and it seems like there is no end in sight to their amazing stretch. This is the best start in franchise history, and we are talking about a team that is synonymous with LeBron James. At the moment, Stake gives them the odds of 19.00 to take the title, with 7 other teams in front. Capitalizing now would be an amazing wagering foresight and they could very well do it.
Donovan Mitchel and Darius Garland are leading the backcourt while the twin towers of Evan Mobley and Jarret Allen are anchoring the post. Such a combination of size and speed, offense and defense, is not present in many other teams. Add a constant threat from beyond the arc from the likes of Max Strus, Caris LeVert, Sam Merrill, and Isaac Okoro, and you have a well-rounded team poised for greatness. Betting on the Cavs is one of the surest things in basketball right now so be sure to ride the wave until it lasts. It is a good time once again to be an NBA fan in Cleveland.
Phoenix, Thunder, Celtics on a Roll
This assortment of contenders is doing their thing to open the season as all three teams are great right now. The Phoenix Suns are atop the Western Conference with an 8-1 record, same as the second-best Oklahoma City Thunder. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Jusuf Nurkic are leading the way as the team is winning games, both close and lopsided, and finally playing well together. The chemistry of OKC is unmatched and it is just so good to watch the guys interact with each other and play so well together. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren are leading the way and their supporting cast is unlike anything else in the league. They could be ready for that final push come playoff time.In the East, right under the mighty Cavs is the defending champion, the Boston Celtics. With the odds to take another title and cement the dynasty being 3.60, they are still the bookies’ favorites. However, many teams are off to an amazing start and could ruin their best chance at a repeat in almost 4 decades. Jason Tatum is playing like an MVP, again, and several guys are coming into their own, especially Payton Pritchard. With Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis down with injuries, the Cs have not yet taken out their best starting five onto the court this season. It is a scary thought to have but there is no saying how good they will be when the gears start turning midway through the season.
Numerous Early MVP Candidates
After the first two weeks, the MVP battle looked nothing like we expected it to. Some names appeared there that no sane person would think of. For example, two Clippers players are incredible right now, but none of them are named James Harden or Kawhi Leonard. It is Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac who have been carrying the load and are the main contributors to the positive 5-4 record of a team who were supposed to be where the Bucks and Philly are right now. Zubac is averaging 16.7 points and 12.8 rebounds while Powell is playing out of his mind with 25.7 points per game. The Sacramento Kings hoped for a better start than their current 5-4 record, but there is a lot to be optimistic about right now. They have three players averaging more than 20 points per game. De’Aron Fox is leading the way with 24.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. DeMar DeRozan is currently at 24.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. Domantas Sabonis is averaging 20.6 points, 13 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game and has already had several triple-doubles.
that's a wrap from the desert, catch y'all tm for another one 🫡

Defensive Player of the Game presented by @phoonglawcorp pic.twitter.com/JfANZzwY8h
Speaking of the Lithuanian superstar, he has had one of the best games in history, a perfect game as many called it. In their November 6 win over the Toronto Raptors, he did something nobody else has. Pay attention. He had a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists. He added 1 steal to it. But the great thing about it is that he shot 100% from the floor, 6/6, 100% from the free throw, 5/5, and did not have a single foul or turnover! Such a game is unheard of and it is a testament to how the new, non-American players (Jokic, Sabonis, Giannis, Luka, Shai) are changing the game.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in the 7th spot with a 5-4 record after opening the season in big fashion. With big stories surrounding them, none bigger than Bronny James and the new coaching staff led by JJ Reddick, they are handling the business well enough. LeBron James says he plans to play all 82 games this season, something he has only done once in his 22-year-long career. That is promising as the team needs all he can give them, and he is delivering amazingly well for a soon-to-be 40-year-old.
However, it is Anthony Davis who is leading the way and making an early push for the MVP. The 31-year-old is currently averaging 32.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2 blocks per game on 57% shooting. These are MVP numbers and should he be able to play enough games, it could be his year. He is also delivering on the defensive end so it could be a battle between him and Victor Wembanyama for the Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Turquie

Allemagne
What Turkey does is a sick thing. Let us recall the favorites who were the Serbs and the Germans, and in a second step the French, the Greeks and the Spanish around the 15.00 to win the competition, and in a third wagon among the potential surprises, we found Turkey of A.Sengun. Outsiders from the first match against Latvia, the Turks had hit them with the way 73-93, then came the Tour of the Czech Republic 92-78, Portugal 95-54, Estonia 64-84, and even the Serbia of Jokic 68-94. Shaken up against Sweden 85-79 in the 8th finals, and easy winner of Poland 91-77, Turkey made an XXL perf by beating Friday after 8:00 p.m. at the same time when Multigue 2 begins, Greece 68-94 of a 12-point Giannis, 13 shots muzzled like a U16. 2nd in bookmakers with a coast at 4.50 on average behind a Serbia around 2.00. For this reigning world champion nation it is not a surprise. The objective was to play the final, let us now dissect the route produced by Franz Wagner and Co. After a group phase mastered to perfection with successes in front of Montenegro 76-106, Sweden 105-83, Lithuania 107-88, Great Britain 120-57 and Finland 91-61, Germany had finished at the head of the group. Winner in the face of the modest Portuguese training 85-58 in 1/8th final, in the quarter-final a few days later, Germany was shaken by the Slovenia of a Luka Donsole Insolent 39 points, but victorious in a end of the match after a good comeback and a controlled end of the match victory 99-91. Finally, last Friday, a little before the Turkish spanking inflicted on the Greeks, Germany had dominated Finland of an L.Markkanen 16 points, 2-9 with too clumsy fire. Germany victory 98-86.
The Taulier of this A.Sengun training has allowed its partners simply to the semi-finals (which Giannis did not succeed). Solicited, his priority was collective above all. At the start of the match he was very collective by serving many times the one who will finish man of the match of this meeting, namely Osmani (28 points). In the 2nd place of the best markers of this meeting, there was obviously not even a small place for Sengun, preceded by Cedi Osman (17 points) the captain of this Turkish team, an uncertain time. With 21 points on average per game, Sangun remains the best marker in Turkey, a smuggler (7) and rebounder (11) of this nation. Shane Larkin (11 points on average) performed in front of Greece also with her 14 points. Now place to the giant, to the big favorite, Germany with the Franz Wagner the best player of this team, the important Denis Schröder, or even Isac Bonga, who will try after his title of world champion in 2023 to win the 2nd Eurobasket in his history after that of 1993. Note, however, the absence of Moe Wagner who also took thickness in Orlando, replaced in selection by a bench D.THEIS (10.9 points and 5.1 rebounds on average) very average for its first months with Monaco. In addition to the plans of Isaiah Hartenstein and Moe Wagner (before the Euro) remember, Germany has been deprived of the strong Voigtmann winger from the group stage. Coach Alex Mumbru, still too reduced, leaves his hand to his assistant Alan Ibrahimagic (47). True to himself, Schröder made a full match (26 points, 12 assists, 5 rebounds). The 5 adults probable for Turkey - Germany: Turkey: Larkin (playmaker) - Sipahi (rear) - Osman (winger) - Osmani (strong winger) - Sengun (pivot). Allemagne: Schröder (playmaker) - Obt (back) - Bonga (wing) - Wagner (strong wing) - Theis (Pivot). Read more..

Grèce

Finlande
What was this dinguerie last Friday in this match between Turkey and Greece? What happened for the Greeks, totally massacred by the partners of Sengun. Winners of their respective hens, the long -awaited shock did not take place. The Greeks seemed lost in this match, not simply invited. Giannis was muzzled like never 12 points, and on the other side you have a guy who finished 18 points at halftime, a certain Osmani, on fire all the game and who will finish at 28. This 94-68 score is particularly heavy for a Greece which did not respond to this test. The Giannis' Team as a reminder had lost only one group match in front of Bosnia 77-80 even though the big 5 of the Milwaukee Bucks was absent because it was injured. Successful against Italy 75-66, Cyprus 69-96, Georgia 53-94 and Spain 86-90 in hen, Israel 84-79 in 1/8th finals, and Lithuania 86-76 in quarters. But his one and only test, Greece lost it. Reading this match will be completely different. Never had the Scandinavian selection managed to make top 5, certain to make top 4 after its success in the quarterfinals, and now with the possibility of winning the bronze medal. Do the Finns have their shoulders to do so, capable of defeating Greece? Reproducing the intensity put in its success against Serbia 86-92 in the semi-finals. Because yes, although Finland finished in 3rd place in her group, she eliminated the main favorite, before tapeing Lithuania 76-87 in the quarterfinals on the spot. That said, Finland therefore fell against the defending world champions, Germany 98-86.
Giannis (2nd best scorer in the euro, best marker after the elimination of Slovenia of Doncic) was regularly taken in two in the game, and never found the right pass, the right adjustment to enhance his teammates. Only 12 points (6-13 in shooting) for him while his team will finish not only with 10 less assists than Turkey (26 against 16) but also with no less than 22 losses of bullets. We will quickly emphasize two points for Finland. What will seem to be a bad thing at first, could be perceived as a very good. Indeed, yes Markkanen was still missed in such an important match. Only 16 points, for substantial long distance waste (2-9). With LM a little more focused, Finland would probably have kept contact with Germany. 21 points at the bench out for Nkamoua but again, Markkanen did too much trouble his team. The 5 probable adults for Greece - Finland: Greece: Sloukas (playmaker) - Dorsey (rear) - Katsivelis (rear) - Papanikolau (strong winger) - G. antetokoun (pivot). or Litle (rear) - Valtonen (winger) - Markkanen (strong winger) - janunen (pivot). So what about some immediate games and the newest NBA sports betting odds? We have you covered. This weekend is full of great games, particularly on Sunday. The Suns are playing the Kings in a great Western Conference duel. Considering their current form and how well the team is playing together, the Suns’ odds of 1.46 make sense over the Kings’ 2.80. The over/under is 227.5 and should be a great over (1.77) to play as both teams have some heavy hitters on their rosters. Among Durant, Booker, and Beal on one side and Fox, DeRozan, and Sabonis on the other, it should be an easy win.
The struggling Bucks are playing the Celtics in what was supposed to be an Eastern Conference clash of contenders. However, it is not guaranteed due to the current form of the Milwaukee team. Still, Giannis and Lillard have a lot to prove and could actually come on top. Tatum is the lone star as his team is incomplete, hence the 1.80 odds for the Celtics and the 2.06 odds for the Bucks. This may be the game that turns it around for the Wisconsin team.
Who doesn’t like when the New York Knicks are good? It is simply great for the league and the sport! They are the favorites in their upcoming clash with the Indiana Pacers as the trades proved successful. Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Mikal Bridges on one side, and Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton, and Myles Turner are more than enough to get you the 1.77 over on the 226.5 threshold. As for the winner, the Knicks should take it. The bookies predict it and give them 1.81 over the Pacers’ 2.05.
