Algeria must aim for the title in this CAN 2025. It has now been three editions in a row that the Fennecs have no longer progressed through the groups. Winger Riyad Mahrez (106 sels, 33 goals), the excellent Amoura (Wolfsburg, 38 sels, 19 goals), the prolific Adil Boulbina (5 goals in 6 sels), midfielders Boudaoui (Nice, 27 caps), Ismaël Bennacer (Dinamo Zagreb, 52 sels), Zerrouki (Twente, 44 sels), Chaïbi (Frankfurt) or even Zagence (Union Saint-Gilloise, 23 capes) are well operational.

Defensively, the Fennecs are operational on paper with Mandi (Lille), Aït-Nouri (Manchester City), Bensebaini (Dortmund), Atal (Al-Sadd) and Chergui (PFC). The vast majority of players called to play this CAN play in the domestic championship. The valuable midfielders Abdalla (75 caps), Khedr (61 caps), Raouf (47 caps), Adel (43 caps) and Abdelrahman (61 caps, 23 goals) are present, as are the attackers Muzmel (56 caps, 8 goals) and Mohamed Eisa, author of his 2 goals for the selection during the World Cup qualifiers, and defensive players like Mohamed Ering (39 caps), Karshoum (39 capes) and Khamis (34 capes). No player plays in one of the 5 major European championships.
