Antwerp vs Anderlecht Prediction & Betting Tips (12 February)

Antwerp won the first leg by the smallest of margins and was helped by the two exclusions of Sardella and Diarra in the second act. Of course, this success allows him to leave with a slight advantage on the scoreboard but nothing will be decided in advance. Especially since The Great Old is not in great form, winner of only one of its last four matches in the elite, against Cercle Bruges, finishing at ten 0-4 and a soporific record of three defeats against Dender 1-0, Charleroi 0-2 and last weekend on the turf of Mechelen 2-0. Note that in the 1/4 final, Antwerp had to fight in extra time to overcome the weak opposition of RAAL La Louvière 2-1 while in the 1/8 final, it was in the penalty shootout that they qualified by defeating Saint-Trond.  Anderlecht could probably have come back to the mark by remaining at 11 against 11 in the first leg but the lack of discipline got the better of their false hopes of a 0-1 defeat.

Everything is still playable for the Mauves, 4th as a reminder of the Belgian elite but unable to win any of their last six matches in the league. 4 of these matches ended with defeats against Charleroi 1-2, La Gantoise 4-2, Standard de Liège 2-0 and last weekend on the lawn of Genk 2-0. In the 1/4 finals, Anderlecht took La Gantoise out of the competition with a 1-0 victory. 

Decisive passer in the first leg, corridor player Foulon (2 assists in the league) could throw in the towel today due to his injury outing last weekend in the league. In the infirmary, he will come across the injured Benitez (3 goals in the league), the long-term absentee Engels, Geoffrey Hairemans (2 goals, 2 assists in the league with Mechelen last year) and the imperial defender Rein Van Helden.
