Zambia literally pulled off the perfect hold-up on Monday afternoon against Mali on the first day, snatching the point of a draw at the very end of the match with one of its two shots on target in the game. She even turned her back and resisted the missed penalty stopped by the Malians during the first act. A point, which ultimately allows Zambia to believe in 2nd place and qualification for the round of 16. As a reminder, Zambia did not pass the groups during the last two editions.

In the Comoros, the executive and former Trojan or even Guingamp Youssouf M'Changama (71 sel, 14 goals, Al-Batin) is present for this CAN and even started against Morocco in the same way as the Trojan full-back Boura, the goalkeeper belonging to RC Lens Pandor, Standard Liège striker Rafiki Said (3 goals, 2 assists in the Jupiler League) as well as midfielders Iyad Mohamed (Casa Pia) and Benjaloud Youssouf (Sochaux). In the middle, Rayan Lutin (Amiens), Yacine Bourhane (Aris Limassol, entered during the game against Morocco), Remy Vita (Tondela, ex-Amiens) were called up in the same way as the attackers Myziane Maolida (Al Kholood) and the experienced Ben Nabouhane (Zemun, 41 sel, 16 goals). Conversely, former Ajaccian defender Mohamed Youssouf (40 SEL), now 37 years old, is not present.
