Sevilla vs Girona Prediction & Betting Tips (7 February)

The seasons follow one another and are similar for Seville, once again very disappointing on many levels and with no prospect of development. Last weekend, at Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla were extinguished with a clear 4-1 defeat. Only 1 victory in the previous 6 days in La Liga, and above all 3 other defeats to mention, against Vigo 0-1, Levante 0-3 and at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid 2-0. Matias Almeyda's men are 15th in La Liga, under the growing threat of the red zone.

Starting the season timidly, Girona has since left the red zone and is even considering returning to the top 10. 12th in the early morning, the Catalan team even lost its place in this top 10 in La Liga by conceding defeat to Oviedo last weekend 1-0, thus ending its great unbeaten streak of four games including three victories against Mallorca 1-2, Osasuna 1-0 and on the pitch of Espanyol Barcelona 0-2. 

Suspended for accumulation of yellow cards last weekend, the precious Gudelj will once again be eligible for his coach. This will not be the case for the injured Vargas (3 goals, 4 assists in La Liga), defenders Kouassi and Azpilicueta without forgetting the Belgian A.Januzaj. Brazilian defender Marcao will serve his last match for disciplinary sanctions. During the transfer window, the leaders opted for the arrival of Neal Maupay from Marseille and the latter was quick to make his mark by scoring in the defeat at Mallorca. His French compatriots Lucien Agoumé and Batista Mendy play important roles in Sevilla as does former MHSC player Akor Adams (6 goals, 2 assists in La Liga). We will recall that Alfonso Gonzalez, who arrived free from Vigo last summer, was surprisingly loaned to Villarreal for this 2nd part of the season. For Michel (coach), goalkeeper Juan Carlos will remain on the side (injured) like Artero (unimportant) and very important midfielders Donny van de Beek (ruptured Achilles tendon) and Ounahi (injury at the CAN). He occupies a starting position supporting Ukrainian international Vanat (7 goals in La Liga). Wingers Tsygankov (4 goals, 2 assists) and Bryan Gil provide excellent support in the offensive sector. This winter, having less playing time compared to last season, Solis Romero (loan, Birmingham) and Asprilla (Galatasaray, loan) left to play elsewhere.
