Central Cordoba enters this clash with a mixed bag of recent performances, showing flashes of resilience but also signs of inconsistency. Their last three matches have been a rollercoaster: a gritty 1-0 win over Huracán, a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Deportivo Español, and a sobering 0-3 loss in the return fixture. Coach Abel Balbo has been rotating his midfield heavily, with Iván Sosa and Leonardo Marchi emerging as key figures in transitions. The defense, however, remains a concern, especially with frequent bookings disrupting rhythm. With 21 points from 13 matches, Cordoba sits mid-table, hungry to climb higher.

Racing Club, meanwhile, is riding a wave of confidence after a narrow but crucial 1-0 win over Central Cordoba in their previous encounter, courtesy of a Bruno Zuculini strike. Under the guidance of coach Gustavo Costas, Racing has leaned into a possession-heavy style, often dictating tempo through midfield maestro Juan Nardoni. Their defensive line, anchored by Gonzalo Piovi, has been particularly effective in recent fixtures, conceding few goals and maintaining composure under pressure. Racing’s form in the Torneo Betano Apertura has been solid, and they’re looking to carry that momentum into the Clausura phase with a more aggressive attacking setup.

Coach Beñat San José has emphasized tactical discipline and high pressing, which has paid off in key victories, including a 5-1 thrashing of Universitario de Vinto last December. The Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolívar’s fortress at high altitude, remains a daunting venue for visiting teams, and the squad will be eager to bounce back from their latest setback with a statement performance.

Oriente Petrolero enters this matchup with a mixed bag of recent performances, sitting mid-table with 27 points from 23 matches. Their last few outings have been a blend of resilience and inconsistency, marked by a 1-1 draw against GV San José and a narrow 2-1 win over Jorge Wilstermann in Copa Paceña. Coach Ángel Hoyos has been experimenting with his midfield setup, relying heavily on the creativity of G. Álvarez, who has emerged as a key playmaker. The team’s tactical approach leans on possession-based football, often building from the back and pressing high when out of possession. Despite defensive lapses, their attacking unit has shown flashes of brilliance, particularly in home fixtures.

Guabirá, on the other hand, has been slightly more consistent, currently holding 34 points and sitting above Oriente in the standings. Their recent form includes a 3-3 draw with Oriente in the Copa Bolivia and a 2-0 loss to Blooming, showing their vulnerability in away games. Coach Mauricio Soria has emphasized a more direct style of play, utilizing the pace of G. Peredo and the physicality of their forward line. However, defensive frailties have plagued them, especially in transitions, where they’ve conceded crucial goals. Their midfield has struggled to maintain control against high-pressing teams, which could be a concern heading into this fixture.

Vasco da Gama enters this match with a mixed bag of performances, currently holding a record of 4 wins, 1 draw, and 8 losses in the league. Their attack has been spearheaded by Pablo Vegetti, who has netted 8 goals in 12 appearances, making him one of the most lethal forwards in the squad. Supporting him is midfielder Natan Moreira with 3 goals and Rayan Rocha contributing 2. The creative spark often comes from Dimitri Payet, who, despite limited appearances, has managed 2 assists. Coach Ramón Díaz has been under pressure to stabilize the team’s form, especially at home, where they’ve shown flashes of brilliance but lack consistency. Their last encounter with São Paulo ended in a commanding 3-1 win, which could serve as a psychological boost heading into this fixture.

São Paulo, meanwhile, has struggled to find rhythm this season, with just 2 wins, 7 draws, and 5 losses. Their attacking trio of André Silva, Ferreira, and Ryan Francisco has shown promise, combining for 10 goals, but the team’s inability to convert draws into wins has hampered their progress. Ferreira has also chipped in with 2 assists, sharing playmaking duties with Luciano and Alisson. Coach Dorival Júnior has been experimenting with formations to unlock more offensive fluidity, but defensive lapses continue to plague the squad. Their last away game against Vasco ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat, and they’ll be eager to rewrite that narrative. The team’s morale hinges on turning possession dominance into tangible results, especially in high-stakes matches like this.

America Mineiro enters this fixture with a mixed bag of performances, having drawn 1-1 against CRB and suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Criciúma earlier in October. The team’s attacking efforts have been led by Figueiredo, C Barros, and Miqueias, each contributing a goal in the last six matches. Fabinho has emerged as a key playmaker with two assists, often linking midfield transitions with forward momentum. Coach Cauan de Almeida has been experimenting with a more compact midfield to counter defensive lapses, which have seen the team concede seven goals so far. The squad’s morale remains cautiously optimistic, especially with home advantage at Estádio Raimundo Sampaio looming large.

Novorizontino, on the other hand, has shown defensive grit, conceding only four goals in their last six outings. Their recent 0-0 draw against Amazonas and a 1-1 stalemate with Botafogo-SP reflect a team that prioritizes structure over flair. Dyego has been the standout performer with two goals in just four appearances, while midfielders Luis and Jean have chipped in with crucial contributions. Coach Eduardo Baptista has leaned into a disciplined 4-2-3-1 formation, emphasizing ball retention and counter-attacking bursts. The team’s away form has been steady, and their ability to frustrate opponents with tactical rigidity could be pivotal in this matchup.

Volta Redonda enters this match with a mixed bag of performances, recently falling 2-1 to Operário-PR after a commanding 3-0 win over Atlético-GO. Their attack has shown flashes of brilliance, particularly through Matheus Lucas and MV, both netting three goals this season. Midfielder André Luiz has also chipped in with two goals, adding depth to their offensive options. Coach Neto Colucci has been experimenting with tactical flexibility, often switching between a 4-3-3 and a more compact 4-2-3-1 depending on the opponent. Despite their low goal tally this season, Volta Redonda’s home form has been relatively stable, and they’ll be banking on that advantage in this upcoming clash.

Botafogo-SP, meanwhile, has struggled to find consistency. Their last two matches ended in draws—1-1 against Novorizontino and 2-2 versus Cuiabá—highlighting defensive vulnerabilities. Forward Alexandro Jesus leads their scoring chart with four goals, while Jonathan Cafú and Luan Maciel have each added two. Cafú, in particular, has been instrumental in creating chances, registering one assist and drawing multiple fouls in key areas. Coach Paulo Gomes has faced criticism for his conservative approach, often opting for a low block that limits attacking transitions. With only 30 goals scored and 50 conceded across 34 matches, Botafogo-SP’s defensive frailty remains a glaring issue.

Everton de Viña del Mar enters the upcoming fixture against Unión Española with a mixed bag of results and a pressing need to stabilize their form. Currently sitting 12th in the league standings, Everton has struggled to convert home advantage into consistent victories, winning just three of their thirteen matches at Estadio Sausalito. Their recent performances have been erratic, including a heavy 4-0 defeat to Huachipato and a narrow 1-2 loss to Ñublense. Coach Francisco Meneghini has been experimenting with tactical shifts, relying on midfield dynamo Luis Altamirano and forward Ignacio Ramírez to spark attacking momentum. The team’s defensive frailties, however, remain a concern, with an average of 1.54 goals conceded per match. With the season winding down, Everton must find cohesion quickly to avoid slipping further down the table.

Unión Española, meanwhile, finds itself in an even more precarious position, currently ranked 14th in the league. Their away form has been particularly troubling, with only two wins in eleven outings. The team’s recent matches have highlighted a lack of defensive discipline and finishing precision, contributing to a string of losses that have left fans frustrated. Coach Ronald Fuentes is under pressure to revitalize the squad, and much of that responsibility falls on striker Leandro Garate and playmaker Felipe Méndez. Despite their individual talents, the team has struggled to maintain possession and create high-quality chances. Unión Española’s last encounter with Everton ended in a 0-3 defeat, a result that still lingers in the minds of both players and supporters. The upcoming match offers a chance to rewrite that narrative, but only if they can tighten their backline and rediscover their attacking rhythm.

Palestino enters the final stretch of the Liga de Primera campaign with momentum and ambition. Currently ranked third in the league, the Santiago-based club has shown consistency throughout the season, averaging 1.3 goals per game across 25 matches. Their recent win in the previous round has bolstered their push for international cup qualification. Coach Pablo Sánchez has relied heavily on the creative spark of Carlos Pinares, whose technical and creative ratings have stood out among his teammates. The team will host Limache at the Estadio Municipal de La Cisterna, a venue where they’ve historically performed well, and the stakes are high as they aim to solidify their top-four position.

Limache, affectionately known as “Los Tomateros,” are fighting a very different battle. Hovering near the relegation zone, they’ve shown flashes of resilience, winning two of their last five matches. Their recent draw against a mid-table opponent gave them a psychological lift, and coach Marcelo Ramírez has emphasized grit and tactical discipline in training. Forward Joaquín León remains a key figure, though his stats suggest room for improvement compared to Palestino’s attacking options. Limache’s away form has been shaky, but they’ve proven capable of surprising stronger sides when underestimated. Their defensive structure will be tested against Palestino’s fluid midfield and high pressing style.

Envigado enters this fixture with a sense of urgency, having suffered a 0-2 defeat to Boyacá Chicó in their previous outing. That loss left them languishing in 17th place with just 16 points from 18 matches, a reflection of their inconsistent form this season. Coach Andrés Felipe Orozco Vásquez has been vocal about the need for tactical discipline and sharper finishing. The team continues to rely on its youth-driven philosophy, with promising talents like Yilmar Celedón and Juan Pablo Suárez showing flashes of brilliance but lacking the consistency needed to turn games around. Playing at Estadio Polideportivo Sur, Envigado will hope that home advantage can reignite their campaign and provide a platform for a much-needed win.

Millonarios, meanwhile, are navigating a turbulent stretch of their own. Positioned 13th in the table with 21 points, they’ve struggled to string together consecutive victories, a far cry from their usual top-tier ambitions. Their recent Copa Colombia fixture against Envigado on September 17 ended in a narrow win, offering a psychological edge heading into this rematch. Coach Alberto Gamero has been experimenting with formations, often rotating between a 4-2-3-1 and a more aggressive 4-3-3, depending on the opponent. Key players like Daniel Cataño and Leonardo Castro have been instrumental, but defensive lapses have cost them dearly in tight matches. With the pressure mounting, Millonarios must find balance between attack and structure to avoid slipping further down the standings.

The squad has been bolstered by the return of forward Christopher Wreh from Hartlepool United, adding depth to their attacking options. Midfielders Jamie Ryan Jellis and Munashe Sundire have also joined the ranks, bringing fresh energy and versatility. With The Lamb Ground expected to be buzzing, Tamworth will look to channel their underdog spirit into a memorable cup performance.

Leyton Orient, meanwhile, are navigating a mixed spell in League One, with recent results including a narrow 1-0 win over Lincoln City and a heavy 4-0 victory against Doncaster Rovers. However, their momentum has been dented by the unfortunate ACL injury to defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green, who is now sidelined for the season. Head coach Richie Wellens has emphasized squad unity and tactical discipline, especially in light of defensive reshuffling. The team’s attacking prowess remains intact, with players like Jamie Donley and Aaron Drinan capable of unlocking defenses. Orient’s experience in higher-tier competition gives them a tactical edge, but they’ll need to be wary of Tamworth’s tenacity.

Back in the elite this season after a long absence, Sunderland impresses all observers. Indeed, Régis Le Bris's gang occupies an improbable 4th place in the Premier League with 17 points gleaned from 9 matches. After going four games without a loss, 2 wins and 2 draws, the Black Cats fell to Manchester United 2-0. They have since resumed their formidable march forward. Sunderland won against bottom-placed Wolverhampton 2-0 and at top-flight Chelsea last weekend 1-2. Everton is currently 14th in the Premier League and is 6 points ahead of the relegation zone.

The Liverpool-based club seems to have what it takes to win this season. Be wary all the same because the recent dynamic is less good. The Toffees have won only one of their last 6 league matches, with 2 draws and 3 defeats. After getting the better of Crystal Palace 2-1, they lost to Manchester City 2-0 and Tottenham last weekend 0-3.

While it had started this new exercise with a bang, Pau FC was suddenly stopped in its tracks over the last two days. This downturn started last week, at home, when the residents of Nouste Camp were largely beaten by Dunkerque 0-3. The rest was even more difficult for the Béarnais who experienced a real nightmare Tuesday evening on the ground of Saint-Etienne 6-0, thus seeing the leader slip away with 6 lengths ahead in the standings now. After the draw conceded against Grenoble after the international break 1-1, it has been 3 days since Pau FC last won. In Troyes, on the other hand, all the lights are green at the start of November.

The last few somewhat delicate seasons seem definitively digested on the Estac side, which now aims to be able to return to the elite in the coming months. It must be said that Stéphane Dumont's men are at the top of the standings with a nice lead of 4 points over their first 2 pursuers. Undefeated for almost 2 months, the Aubois were able to defeat Bastia 1-0 before picking up a point during the Champagne Derby in Reims 0-0. Finally, on Tuesday evening, they ended up overthrowing Amiens 3-1 and maintaining their lead at the top of the table.

Head coach Szabolcs Schindler has been experimenting with formations, aiming to stabilize the backline while unlocking more fluidity in attack. Midfielder Ádám Csilus has emerged as a pivotal figure, often dictating tempo and linking play between defense and offense. With a home fixture looming, Vasas will be eager to capitalize on familiar turf and crowd support to regain momentum.

Videoton FC, on the other hand, has been quietly building a solid run in the NB II. Their recent 5-0 demolition of Tiszakecske showcased their attacking prowess, with Roland Varga and Máté Dékei finding the net with clinical precision. The team’s form has been steady, marked by a string of draws and wins that have kept them within striking distance of the top spots. Despite a setback earlier in the month with a 4-2 defeat to Helmond Sport, the Alkmaar-based side have been steadily climbing the table. Their young squad, often featuring players on the cusp of first-team football, has been praised for its attacking flair and ability to recover quickly from setbacks, which has been a recurring theme in their recent fixtures.

On the other hand, FC Eindhoven have endured a difficult run of form in the past two months, struggling to find momentum in both league and cup competitions. Their October campaign was particularly harsh, beginning with a 3-1 defeat to MVV Maastricht on October 3, followed by a heavy 6-0 loss away to Emmen on October 11. Things did not improve at home, as they fell 4-0 to Vitesse on October 17 and then narrowly lost 1-0 to VVV-Venlo on October 24. Plaza Colonia enter this clash against Cerro Largo with a mixed run of results that has left their supporters both hopeful and cautious. In the past two months, Plaza Colonia have shown flashes of resilience, such as their 2-0 away victory over Las Piedras and a penalty shootout triumph against Racing Club in the Copa Uruguay. However, they have also struggled in key fixtures, falling 2-0 to Peñarol and narrowly losing 1-0 at home to Liverpool Montevideo. These inconsistencies have kept them hovering in the middle of the table, unable to string together the kind of form that would push them into the top positions. The team’s recent news has focused on their defensive adjustments, with coach Luis Alberto Mena emphasizing the need for greater compactness after conceding crucial goals in tight matches.

Cerro Largo, meanwhile, have been defined by their stubbornness in recent weeks. They have drawn three consecutive league matches, including a 2-2 home result against Racing Club, a 1-1 away tie with River Plate, and another 2-2 stalemate against Boston River. While these draws highlight their ability to stay competitive, they also underline a lack of cutting edge in attack. Losses to Nacional and Peñarol earlier in October further exposed their limitations against the league’s strongest sides. News around the club has centered on the team’s inability to convert chances, with manager Danielo Núñez calling for sharper finishing in front of goal. Despite this, Cerro Largo’s defensive organization has been praised, as they have avoided heavy defeats and continue to frustrate opponents with their disciplined structure.

Midfielder Erwin Junior Sánchez continues to be a bright spot, showing leadership and creativity despite the team's struggles. Their recent draw against Blooming offered glimpses of resilience, but the pressure is mounting.

Always Ready, meanwhile, are riding an eight-match unbeaten streak, though recent draws against Real Oruro and Tomayapo suggest some vulnerability. Moisés Paniagua and Efmamjjasond González have been instrumental in attack, with González netting twice in their last win over SA Bulo Bulo. Coach Óscar Villegas has emphasized high pressing and quick transitions, which have overwhelmed weaker defenses. Their once-imposing home record at St Andrew’s was shattered by Hull City, exposing defensive frailties and a lack of clinical finishing. Despite strong backing from American owners and early promotion hopes, Davies now faces scrutiny. Charlton Athletic’s return to the Championship has been marked by resilience and a growing sense of belief under manager Nathan Jones, who took charge earlier in 2025. The Addicks have built a competitive squad featuring key players such as goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer, defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green, and forward Miles Leaburn, who has been central to their attacking play. Their midfield has been anchored by George Dobson, while Tyreece Campbell and Alfie May have provided energy and goals in the final third. Jones has instilled a disciplined structure, and recent results show Charlton are adapting quickly to the demands of the second tier. Their home ground, The Valley, has once again become a difficult venue for visiting sides, with the team showing both defensive solidity and attacking flair.

Recent matches highlight Charlton’s momentum. They secured a 3-0 away win at Ipswich Town, a result that stunned many given Ipswich’s promotion credentials, and followed it up with a 2-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday. A 1-1 draw away at Derby County and a 3-0 home triumph against Blackburn Rovers further underlined their consistency. Even in setbacks, such as the 2-0 defeat at Preston, Charlton showed flashes of their growing confidence. Coventry City enter this clash against Sheffield United in outstanding form, having surged to the top of the Championship under Frank Lampard. The managerial change from Mark Robins to Lampard was initially met with skepticism, but the results have silenced critics. Over the past two months, Coventry have remained unbeaten and have been praised for their attacking fluidity and defensive resilience. Recent headlines have even linked goalkeeper Carl Rushworth with a potential England call-up, a testament to the team’s rise in stature. The Sky Blues’ dominance has been reflected in their ability to control matches, often overwhelming opponents with relentless pressing and sharp transitions. Their consistency has made them the standout side in the division, and they now look to extend their momentum against a Sheffield United side still searching for stability.

The recent run of results for Coventry has been nothing short of remarkable. In October alone, they dismantled Millwall 4-0 away, thrashed Sheffield Wednesday 5-0 at Hillsborough, and followed up with a 2-0 home win over Blackburn. They then edged Portsmouth 2-1 before comfortably dispatching Watford 3-1 at the Ricoh Arena. Under John Eustace, the Rams have shown resilience, particularly with back-to-back home wins against Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers, both ending 1-0 at Pride Park. Their only setback in recent weeks was a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Oxford United, but they quickly bounced back with disciplined defensive displays. News around the club has also focused on injuries, with Lewis Travis sidelined through a calf problem, while loanee Owen Beck has been carefully managed after a knock. The squad has been bolstered by the form of Carlton Morris, who has been their leading scorer this season, and the return of Rhian Brewster has added depth to their attacking options. Derby’s supporters are beginning to sense that the team is finding its rhythm at a crucial stage of the campaign.

Hull City, meanwhile, have been one of the more intriguing sides in the Championship over the past two months. After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the Tigers have responded well under new boss Sergej Jakirovic, who has instilled a more aggressive and confident style of play. October was particularly fruitful for Hull, with a 3-2 away win at Birmingham City and a 2-1 home victory over Leicester City standing out as highlights. The Tractor Boys have been in the headlines recently, with manager Kieran McKenna earning praise after being named Manager of the Month in October, while the club also announced a new contract extension for midfielder Tayls. Ipswich’s supporters have been buoyed by the team’s resilience, especially after bouncing back from a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Charlton with a gritty 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. The East Anglian side has also been dealing with squad rotation and minor injuries, but the overall mood around the club remains optimistic as they continue to push for a strong position in the table.

Looking at Ipswich’s recent fixtures, their form has been mixed but encouraging. They secured a memorable 3-1 victory over rivals Norwich City earlier in October, a result that lifted spirits and showcased their attacking flair. However, defeats against Middlesbrough (2-1 away) and Charlton (3-0 at home) highlighted some defensive vulnerabilities. Off the pitch, speculation has swirled around Wilfred Ndidi, with reports linking him to Premier League clubs, while Danny Ward’s departure to Wrexham also drew attention. Before that, they had edged Derby County 1-0 at home, showing their ability to grind out results when needed. However, losses to Watford and Sheffield United earlier in the month underlined the challenges of competing at this level. Off the pitch, Oxford have been in the news for their ongoing efforts to secure planning approval for their proposed new stadium at Kidlington, a project that has been debated heavily in recent weeks. The club’s leadership insists the move is vital for long-term growth, and the players seem motivated to prove they belong in the Championship spotlight.

Stoke City, meanwhile, have been navigating a mixed run of form but remain a side with ambitions of pushing into the playoff picture. The club has also been buoyed by positive news off the pitch, with manager Leam Richardson praising the squad’s growing maturity and the emergence of younger players stepping up in key moments.

Burton Albion, meanwhile, have been fighting to keep themselves clear of the relegation zone, and their recent results reflect a side that is unpredictable but capable of upsetting stronger opponents. Prior to that, they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Atlético CP in the Taça de Portugal on October 19, a result that highlighted their struggles in knockout football. However, earlier in the month they had secured a convincing 2-0 home win over Feirense, proving that when they find rhythm, they can be a dangerous side. The latest news surrounding Felgueiras has centered on their need to tighten up defensively, as lapses at the back have cost them valuable points.

Seattle Sounders enter this clash with Minnesota United carrying both confidence and frustration from recent weeks. The Sounders closed their regular season strongly, defeating New York City FC 2-1 on October 19 after Jackson Ragen’s late header sealed the win. They also edged Real Salt Lake 1-0 on October 12 and beat Portland Timbers 1-0 a week earlier, showing their ability to grind out results in tight contests. However, their playoff opener against Minnesota ended in disappointment, as they fell in a penalty shootout after a scoreless draw in regulation. Despite dominating possession and creating more chances, Seattle could not find the breakthrough, leaving them with work to do in the series. News around the club has also highlighted the growing influence of Paul Rothrock and the consistency of goalkeeper Stefan Frei, both of whom have been crucial in recent matches.

Minnesota United, meanwhile, have been building momentum of their own. The Loons finished the regular season in fourth place with 58 points, their best tally in club history, and they carried that form into the postseason. They recently earned a dramatic shootout victory over Seattle in Game 1 of their playoff series, with goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair once again proving why he has been nominated as a finalist for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. Prior to that, Minnesota had mixed results, including a 2-1 loss to LA Galaxy on October 18, a 3-0 defeat to Chicago Fire in September, and a 3-3 draw with Sporting Kansas City on October 4. Still, their ability to bounce back in high-pressure moments has been a defining trait, and the extension of midfielder Joaquín Pereyra’s contract has added stability to their midfield heading into this crucial encounter.

Botafogo RJ and Vasco da Gama are set to meet in a highly anticipated clash in the Brazilian Serie A Betano on November 5, 2025, at the Estádio Nilton Santos. Both clubs enter this fixture with contrasting recent narratives, making the encounter even more intriguing. Botafogo has been in the spotlight recently due to transfer activity, including the arrival of midfielder Danilo from Nottingham Forest in late summer, which has added depth to their squad. Meanwhile, Vasco has been buoyed by the form of Argentine striker Pablo Vegetti, who netted twice in their emphatic 3-0 away win over Bragantino in late October. These developments have shaped the outlook for both teams as they push for strong finishes in the league.

Looking at Botafogo’s recent performances, the team has shown inconsistency but also flashes of resilience. In October, they secured a 2-0 away victory over Ceará, followed by a 2-2 draw at home against Santos, where Joaquin Correa was among the scorers. However, they also suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Flamengo and a 2-0 loss to Internacional earlier in the month, highlighting defensive vulnerabilities. Still, their ability to bounce back with wins against Bahia and Ceará demonstrates that they remain a competitive force. With Davide Ancelotti guiding the side, Botafogo has maintained a position in the upper half of the table, and their home advantage at Nilton Santos could prove decisive in this derby.

Red Bull Bragantino enter this clash against Corinthians with a mixture of frustration and determination. Over the past month, their form has been inconsistent, with a string of defeats that have raised questions about their ability to finish the season strongly. In late October, they suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Vasco da Gama, following a 1-0 loss away to Juventude and a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Palmeiras. Their only bright spot came earlier in October when they managed a narrow 1-0 victory over Grêmio, showing that they can still grind out results when needed. News around the club has also focused on injuries to key players like Isidro Pitta and Eduardo Santos, which have limited their attacking options. Despite these setbacks, Bragantino remain a side capable of surprising opponents, especially at home in Bragança Paulista.

Corinthians, on the other hand, have shown slightly more resilience in recent weeks. Their October fixtures included a 1-0 away win over Vitória, a 1-0 home victory against Atlético Mineiro, and a convincing 3-0 triumph over Mirassol earlier in the month. However, they also stumbled with a 3-1 defeat to Santos, reminding fans of their vulnerability when pressed by aggressive opponents. The team has been dealing with injury concerns as well, with Rodrigo Garro sidelined due to a calf problem and André Carrillo recovering from ligament damage. Nevertheless, the squad has demonstrated a capacity to adapt, with players like Charles stepping up in crucial moments, such as his late goal against Vitória. The club’s supporters are hopeful that this momentum can carry into their upcoming fixtures, including this pivotal clash with Bragantino.

Sport Recife enters this clash against Juventude with a sense of urgency, as their recent form in the Brasileirão Betano has been inconsistent and troubling. Over the past two months, the team has struggled to find stability, suffering defeats against Internacional and Atlético-MG while managing only a few draws, such as the 1-1 result against Cruzeiro and a 2-2 stalemate with Fluminense. Their lone bright spot came in September with a narrow 1-0 victory over Corinthians, which briefly lifted spirits. News around the club has focused on the pressure mounting on manager Daniel Paulista, who has been tasked with steering the team away from the relegation zone. The squad’s lack of cutting edge in attack has been a recurring theme, and their defensive lapses have cost them valuable points in tight matches.

Juventude, on the other hand, has also endured a turbulent run of results in recent weeks. In October, they managed a crucial 1-0 home victory over Bragantino, but that was quickly overshadowed by heavy defeats, including a 3-1 loss to Grêmio and a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Pelotas in a regional competition. They also fell narrowly to Internacional in a 3-2 contest and were edged out 1-0 by Fluminense at the Maracanã. Despite these setbacks, Juventude has shown flashes of resilience, particularly in their ability to grind out results at home. Manager Thiago Carpini has been under scrutiny, with local media questioning his tactical approach, especially after the team’s defensive collapses. Still, Juventude’s fighting spirit and occasional bursts of attacking quality keep them competitive in matches where they are not heavily favored.

Vitoria approach their clash with Internacional at Estádio Manoel Barradas in Salvador with the urgency of a team fighting to escape the lower reaches of the Serie A Betano table. Over the past two months, the club has been in the spotlight for both its fluctuating form and disciplinary issues, with several players picking up suspensions due to accumulated yellow cards. Their recent home defeat to Corinthians by 0-1 highlighted their struggles to convert possession into goals, but victories against Bahia and Santos in October showed that Thiago Carpini’s side can still rise to the occasion when the pressure mounts. The fans are demanding consistency, and this fixture offers a chance to prove they can compete with more established sides.

Looking at Internacional, the Porto Alegre club has endured a turbulent period, marked by inconsistent results and a lack of cutting edge in attack. In October, they suffered a damaging loss to Fluminense and also dropped points in matches where they were expected to perform better. The team has been dealing with injuries to key midfielders, which has forced Eduardo Coudet to rotate heavily and rely on younger players. Despite these challenges, Internacional remain outside the relegation zone, but their form has been far from convincing. The supporters are growing restless, especially after a string of defeats that has left them hovering dangerously close to the bottom half of the table.

Universidad de Chile approach their clash with Everton in the Liga de Primera with a mixture of confidence and urgency. Over the past two months, the club has been in the spotlight due to their deep run in the Copa Sudamericana, where they faced Lanús in a tense semifinal. Despite a spirited effort, they were eliminated after a 1-0 defeat in Argentina, following a 2-2 draw in Santiago. Domestically, their form has been inconsistent, with a narrow 1-0 loss to Universidad Católica in late October but also a crucial 2-1 victory over Palestino earlier in the month. These results have kept them in the upper half of the table, but the pressure remains to secure points at home, especially with the season entering its decisive stretch.

Everton de Viña del Mar, meanwhile, have endured a more turbulent period. Their recent league outings have highlighted defensive frailties, with multiple defeats in October that left them struggling to climb the standings. A particularly damaging result came against Palestino, where they conceded late and fell short in a match they had hoped to control. Everton’s away form has been especially concerning, with only a handful of wins in their last ten road games. The team has been working to stabilize under pressure, but the lack of consistency in both midfield creativity and defensive organization has left them vulnerable against stronger opponents. Fans are increasingly anxious, as the club risks slipping further down the table if results do not improve quickly.

Portsmouth’s return to the Championship has been a story of resilience and adaptation, with John Mousinho’s side facing the reality of a higher level after their League One title-winning campaign. In the past two months, Pompey have been dealing with injury concerns, particularly in midfield, while also navigating speculation about the futures of certain squad members. Despite these challenges, the club has shown flashes of promise, including a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Leicester City and a narrow 1-0 home win over Middlesbrough. However, recent defeats to Coventry City and Stoke City have highlighted the need for sharper finishing and greater consistency. The Fratton Park faithful remain optimistic, but the pressure is mounting as the team looks to establish itself firmly in mid-table rather than being dragged into a relegation battle.

Wrexham, meanwhile, continue to attract attention both on and off the pitch, with the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney ensuring the club remains in the spotlight. Over the past two months, manager Phil Parkinson has had to balance the weight of expectation with the realities of Championship football. The team has shown grit, most notably in their 3-2 victory over Coventry City, where Kieffer Moore’s second-half brace turned the match in their favor. Yet, inconsistency has been a theme, with a 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Cardiff City and a 1-0 league loss to Stoke City tempering enthusiasm. Still, a 1-0 win over Oxford United and a 1-1 draw away at Middlesbrough suggest that Wrexham are capable of grinding out results against established Championship sides.

Off the pitch, Preston have also been active, securing short-term deals to bolster squad depth and continuing to integrate younger players into the first team. Swansea City, meanwhile, have had a turbulent couple of months. News around the club has focused on the need for greater defensive stability, as manager Martí Cifuentes has emphasized cutting out costly errors that have plagued them in tight matches. Southampton, meanwhile, have endured a turbulent run of results that has left them hovering in the lower reaches of the table, far from the promotion expectations set at the start of the season. In October, they were held to a goalless draw at home by Swansea before suffering back-to-back defeats against Bristol City and Blackburn. Sheffield Wednesday head into their clash with Norwich City at Hillsborough under a cloud of uncertainty, both on and off the pitch. The club has recently been placed into administration, resulting in a 12-point deduction that has left them anchored at the bottom of the Championship table. Ownership turmoil has dominated headlines, with reports of potential buyers showing proof of funds to take over the club, while fans remain anxious about the future. Despite the chaos, the players have continued to battle, though results have been mixed. In October, Wednesday suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to Coventry, followed by a narrow 2-1 loss away at Charlton and a 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough. Their most recent outing against Oxford United offered little respite, as they struggled to find consistency in front of goal. The off-field instability has clearly seeped into performances, and the team’s survival fight looks increasingly daunting.

Norwich City, meanwhile, arrive in South Yorkshire with their own set of problems. The Canaries have endured a torrid run of form, losing five consecutive league matches through October, including defeats to West Brom, Ipswich, Bristol City, Derby, and Swansea. Manager Liam Manning has come under intense pressure, with fans voicing frustration at both results and the club’s controversial stadium redevelopment plans, which were recently paused after significant backlash. The atmosphere around Carrow Road has been tense, with protests even planned during their home fixture against Hull City. On the pitch, Norwich’s defensive frailties have been exposed repeatedly, conceding crucial goals at key moments. However, they still possess attacking threats in players like Josh Sargent and Gabriel Sara, who remain capable of producing moments of quality even in a struggling side. The question is whether they can rediscover resilience quickly enough to climb away from the relegation zone.

However, they did manage to secure a convincing 3-0 away win at Harborough in the FA Cup on October 14th, showing their ability to dominate when given space. Off the pitch, Altrincham have been in the news for their continued push to strengthen their squad depth, with manager Phil Parkinson emphasizing the importance of balancing league survival with cup commitments. The club has also been praised for its community engagement initiatives, which have been highlighted in local media over the past month.

Boston United, meanwhile, enter this fixture with a slightly more unpredictable run of results. Their October campaign included a strong 3-1 away victory at Tamworth on October 25th, which was a much-needed boost after a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Morecambe just days earlier. They also drew 1-1 with Scunthorpe on October 18th and managed a 3-1 win at Gateshead on October 4th, showing that they can be dangerous on the road. However, their defensive frailties were exposed in a 5-2 loss away at Carlisle on October 11th, raising questions about their ability to cope with sustained pressure. Solihull Moors enter this clash with Truro City at a time of transition and renewed ambition. The club recently appointed Chris Millington as their new manager after parting ways with Matt Taylor, a move that has already begun to shape their tactical approach. In the past two months, the Moors have also been active in the transfer market, bringing in York City attacker Tyrese Sinclair on loan and adding Barnet midfielder Scott High to strengthen their squad. These changes reflect a determination to climb the National League table after an inconsistent run of results. The club’s leadership has also been vocal about stabilizing the squad and ensuring that key players are retained, a shift from previous seasons where departures often disrupted momentum.

On the pitch, Solihull Moors’ recent matches have been a mixed bag, highlighting both their potential and their vulnerabilities. They secured a solid 2-0 home win over Braintree, showing defensive resilience and attacking sharpness, but followed that up with a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Hartlepool. Earlier in October, they battled to a 1-1 draw at Eastleigh, but also suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat to Woking. Their form has been inconsistent, with victories over Brackley and Braintree offset by losses to Ebbsfleet and Hartlepool. This inconsistency makes them unpredictable, but under Millington’s guidance, there is a sense that the team is beginning to find a clearer identity, particularly in their defensive organization and midfield balance.

The chances of being able to go beyond the regular season of this Champions League have clearly reduced for Ajax Amsterdam. Far from being counted during the first 3 days, the Dutch have still not taken the slightest point in this competition. Worse still, they did not see the light of day, whether against Inter 2-0, Marseille 4-0 or against Chelsea 5-1 on the last day. Also, with this terrible record, Ajacides find themselves having to bring up the rear in the standings of this Champions League. The first months in the Eredivisie are not particularly satisfactory either for this team which is still off the podium despite their success against Twente 2-3. On Saturday, the Lancers will want to build up confidence by challenging Heerenveen.

For their part, Galatasaray does not suffer from the comparison with their opponent of the day. On the contrary, the Turks bounced back perfectly after losing their first meeting at Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1. For this, they offered themselves the scalp of Liverpool 1-0 then that of Bodo/Glimt during the following 2 days in order to climb to 14th place in the ranking. These good results are not at all surprising for the Istanbulites who are doing well in the championship with 9 wins during the first 10 days. Easy to get rid of Göztepe 3-1, Mauro Icardi's partners will want to continue on Saturday against Trabzonspor.

Benfica's European prospects this season are getting darker. The Portuguese had completely missed their entry into the competition by losing to everyone's surprise in front of their public against Qarabag during the first day 2-3 which had pushed the leaders to part ways with coach Bruno Lage to appoint José Mourinho. A decision which has so far not borne fruit in the Champions League since the Special One was defeated by Chelsea 1-0 and by Newcastle 3-0 during his first 2 European matches on the bench. Consequently, Benfica finds itself in 35th position in the standings without a single point on the clock in this Champions League. At the same time, in the championship, the Lisbon side are on the 3rd step of the podium behind FC Porto and Sporting. Saturday, they travel to the Vitoria field after their demonstration against Arouca 5-0. Bayer Leverkusen is not much better off for the moment in this Champions League.

Just like its opponent of the day, the German club has still not achieved the slightest success so far in the tournament. Guilty of too much complacency or inconsistency against FC Copenhagen 2-2 and PSV Eindhoven 1-1, Kasper Hjumland's men were then ridiculed at home by the reigning champion, PSG, during the last day 2-7. As a result, they are in 30th position in the ranking. In the Bundesliga, the 11 of the Usine, on the other hand, made the cherry after a complicated start. But after having won 3 consecutive successes against Union Berlin 2-0, Mainz 3-4 and Friborg 2-0, the Usine 11 will have to raise their level against the ruthless Bayern Munich.

It was finally against AS Monaco that the Gazelles managed to take their only victory in this C1 and in style on top of that 4-1. Furthermore, since this success against the Monegasques on September 18, Club Bruges has not lost a single match on the national scene, even winning its Belgian Cup poster last week against Eendracht Aalst 6-1. Last weekend, the local team received Dender in the championship, result to follow and tried to record a fifth successive victory in the Belgian elite after successes against Standard de Liège 1-2, Union Saint-Gilloise 1-0, Louvain 0-1 and on the lawn of Royal Antwerp 0-1. Barça allowed itself to slap Olympiakos during the previous day 6-1 but not without difficulty since the Greeks had reduced the score after the locker room 2-1 before finally finishing with ten men via an exclusion.

A precious victory for Hansi Flick's men who were left with a significant defeat at home against a PSG weakened 1-2 but above all with a correction suffered on the lawn of Sevilla in La Liga 4-1. About ten days ago, the Blaugrana lost the first clasico of the season at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid 2-1, thus ending their series of four victories in a row against the Merengue. Inter has been shining on the continental scene in recent seasons, as evidenced by their lost Champions League finals in 2023 and last year. The Lombard team hopes to once again achieve a good performance in this 2025/2026 edition. Now under the leadership of Christian Chivu, the Nerazzurri have launched their campaign perfectly. Indeed, they have still not conceded a single goal and have in turn taken over Ajax 0-2, Slavia Prague 3-0 and Union Saint-Gilloise 0-4. On the national scene, Inter today occupies 3rd place in Serie A, 3 points behind 1st place. After stringing together four victories, Lautaro Martinez's teammates were stopped at leader Napoli 3-1. Subsequently, they reacted by dominating Fiorentina 3-0 before moving to Hellas Verona last weekend.

Kairat Almaty is one of the small thumbs of the competition and this has been true so far. Indeed, the Kazakhs largely lost their first two Champions League matches played against Sporting 4-1 and Real Madrid 0-5. On the last day, they took advantage of hosting a more affordable opponent, Pafos, to pocket their first point 0-0. In its championship which ended 10 days ago, Kairat has just won the title. The Almaty-based club secured its coronation on the last day thanks to a draw preserved against its runner-up Astana 1-1.

European champion in 2023, Manchester City failed to reach the round of 16 last season. This year, Pep Guardiola's men intend to regain the Premier League crown and the roof of Europe with this Champions League. Led by the prophet Erling Haaland, on a mission this season, City won two matches for a draw. Successes acquired against Villarreal two weeks ago 0-2 and at home against Napoli 2-0. Finally, it was against AS Monaco, despite a double from Haaland that the SkyBlues were held to Louis II 2-2. Undefeated for nine games in all competitions, the local team missed the ten-game mark by losing to Aston Villa in the championship 1-0. Immediately, they regained control by winning at Swansea in the EFL Cup last week 1-3. Last weekend, Man City hosted the very serious formation of Bournemouth in PL, result to follow.

After three days played, Borussia Dortmund holds as many points as Manchester City, i.e. 7 points. BVB's only misstep took place on Juventus' Turin pitch in a completely crazy match, notably the 2nd act 4-4. Subsequently, Dortmund crushed Athletic Bilbao 4-1 and Copenhagen in Denmark 2-4. Defeated at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid 2-1 in a scenario which could have turned to their advantage, OM immediately reacted in the queen of European competitions by winning at home against Ajax in style 4-0. However, on the previous day, the Phocaeans lost control at Jose Alvalade against Sporting 2-1, not helped by the expulsion of Emerson just before the break. Subsequently, in the league, Marseille were beaten by Lens at Bollaert 2-1 and embarrassed at home against Angers last week 2-2. Last weekend, traveling to Auxerre, the Marseillais tried to regain total confidence to prepare as best as possible for this already decisive poster in the Champions League, result to follow. Atalanta Bergamo, compared to the start of the season, is finding a sort of positive form, well, at least it is not losing anymore. Indeed, the Dea has not conceded the slightest defeat since the defeat experienced at the Parc des Princes in mid-September as part of the first day of the Champions League 4-0, thus going eight games without defeat in all competitions but only two successes gleaned in Serie A against Lecce 4-1 and Torino 0-3.

Note the great victory obtained in Champions against Club Bruges at home 2-1. On the other hand, on the previous day, the Italians were probably looking for something better than a 0-0 home draw against Slavia Prague. In the process, in the championship, Bergamo contracted two points sharing with Cremonese 1-1 and with the same score against AC Milan at home. Last weekend, it was a trip to Udinese with a result to follow.

Newcastle are not among the outsiders to win the Champions League but do have the weapons to achieve a good performance. The Magpies also got off to a good start in this regular phase. Beaten undeservedly by Barcelona on the first day 1-2, they then scored two convincing victories at Union Saint-Gilloise 0-4 and against Benfica 3-0. On the national scene, Newcastle is blowing hot and cold at the start of the season. Bruno Guimaraes' teammates are currently 12th in the Premier League and are 5 points behind the Big 4. After losing to Brighton 2-1 and dominating Fulham at home 2-1, they traveled to poorly ranked West Ham last weekend. Returning to the Champions League after a long absence, Athletic Club had a hard time getting up to speed during the first two days.

Indeed, opposed to prestigious opponents, the Basques started the competition with losses against Arsenal 0-2 and Dortmund 4-1. Fortunately, they showed a great reaction by dominating Qarabag at home 3-1, who had surprised observers by winning their first two matches. In the league, Bilbao got off to a very good start before falling into line. Ernesto Valverde's men have only won once in 7 matches, with 2 draws and 4 defeats. After losing at home to Getafe 0-1, they traveled to Real Sociedad last weekend. Athletic Bilbao now occupies 9th place in La Liga with 14 points taken in 10 games.

Pafos is still chasing its first victory but has had the merit of losing only once so far after three days, quite logically against the steamroller of Bayern Munich 1-5. Against Olympiakos ten against eleven in Greece 0-0 and again ten in Kazakhstan against Kairat Almaty 0-0, Pafos managed to bring back two important points. We must now confirm with a victory today. In the league, everything is going well for the local team which has offered itself a series of five victories in a row while waiting for the clashes against Omonia and AEL Limassol to follow.

Villarreal did not inherit an easy draw by going to play at Tottenham during the 1st day defeat 1-0, against Juventus during J2 at home 2-2 and receiving Manchester City two weeks ago defeat 0-2. With 1 small point to his credit, the Yellow Submarine has probably said goodbye to the top 8 and will now have to concentrate on qualifying for the top 24 play-offs. In La Liga, Marcelino's men were at the top of the table and went to Mestalla to challenge Valencia and the reception of Rayo Vallecano last weekend, results to follow.

Considered one of the weakest teams in the Champions League, Qarabag surprised all observers to start the competition. Indeed, the Azerbaijanis won their first two matches played in the den of Benfica 2-3 and against Copenhagen 2-0. On the other hand, they lost on the pitch at Athletic Bilbao during the last day 3-1. With 6 points on the clock, the club is dreaming of finishing in the Top 24 but there is still a long way to go. Ultra-dominant on the national scene, Qarabag has won 11 of the last 12 championships. This season, the teammates of former Lensois Abdellah Zoubir occupy 2nd place in the ranking with one game less and one point behind the leader. After stringing together four victories, they were held back at home by Shamakhi 0-0. Last Friday, Qarabag hosted Imisli.

Winner of the Conference League during the previous year and the Club World Cup this summer, Chelsea has legitimate ambitions for its return to the Champions League after two years of absence. During the first day, the Blues did not create a surprise by losing to Bayern Munich 3-1. Subsequently, they truly launched their European campaign with successes at home against Benfica 1-0 and Ajax 5-1. The team intends to fight to finish in the Top 8 of the league phase and thus advance directly to the 8th finals. In the Premier League, Enzo Maresca's men have shown irregularity until now, as evidenced by their 9th place in the standings with 3 outlays in the Big 4. Losers of Liverpool 2-1 and Nottingham Forest 0-3, they then fell, despite the support of their fans, against Sunderland 1-2. Last weekend, Chelsea traveled to the upcoming Tottenham den.

Real Sociedad B come into this clash with Huesca under pressure after a difficult run of results in LaLiga2. The Basque side have struggled to find consistency, with their last four league games showing a mixed pattern. They were beaten 1-0 away at Burgos on October 25 and followed that with another 1-0 defeat at Racing Santander on October 31. However, earlier in October they did manage a convincing 3-0 home win against Andorra, which highlighted their potential when playing at the Reale Arena. News around the club in recent weeks has focused on the challenge of maintaining their Segunda Division status, with manager Ion Ansotegi emphasizing the need for defensive discipline after conceding heavily in a 5-2 loss to Granada earlier in the month. Injuries have also been a concern, with young midfielder Ekain Orobengoa sidelined since early October, limiting their midfield options.

Huesca, meanwhile, arrive in San Sebastian with slightly better momentum, though they too have been inconsistent. In the Copa del Rey on October 28, they comfortably defeated Utebo 3-0 away from home, a result that boosted confidence in their attacking play. In the league, however, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Las Palmas on October 24, and earlier in the month they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Cadiz. Their most notable recent league win came on October 4 when they edged Burgos 2-1 at El Alcoraz. News surrounding Huesca has highlighted their push to climb into the top half of the table, with coach Antonio Hidalgo stressing the importance of turning draws into wins if they are to mount a serious promotion challenge. The team’s defensive structure has been praised, but their lack of goals in tight matches remains a recurring theme.

Fluminense return to the Maracanã with a sense of urgency and pride as they prepare to host Mirassol in the Serie A Betano. Over the past two months, the Rio de Janeiro side has been in fluctuating form, but they have shown resilience in key fixtures. They recently defeated Ceará 1-0 at home and also overcame Internacional by the same scoreline, proving their ability to grind out narrow wins when it matters most. However, a 2-0 loss to Vasco da Gama highlighted their inconsistency, and the coaching staff has been working to stabilize performances. News around the club has also focused on squad rotation, with manager Renato Gaúcho emphasizing the importance of balancing veterans and younger talents as the season nears its conclusion.

Mirassol, on the other hand, have been one of the surprise packages of the campaign. In October, they produced a string of impressive results, including a 3-0 victory over São Paulo and a 2-1 win against Fluminense in their home ground. They also managed to beat Internacional 3-1, showing their attacking strength and ability to dominate even established clubs. Their only setback in that period was a heavy 3-0 defeat to Corinthians, but they quickly bounced back with a 2-1 away win at Sport Recife. The club has been making headlines for its rapid rise in the top flight, with coach Rafael Guanaes praised for instilling a fearless style of play that has unsettled more traditional powerhouses.

Grêmio and Cruzeiro are set to meet in Porto Alegre in what promises to be one of the most intriguing clashes of the Serie A Betano season. Grêmio, currently sitting in mid-table, has had a turbulent campaign both on and off the pitch. In late October, the club confirmed a major change in its commercial strategy, announcing a new kit deal with New Balance starting in 2026, ending their long-standing partnership with Umbro. At the same time, the club has been preparing for presidential elections, with three candidates vying for leadership, a sign of the political intensity surrounding the Tricolor Gaúcho. These developments have added extra layers of pressure on the squad, which has been inconsistent in recent weeks, alternating between strong home wins and disappointing away defeats.

On the field, Grêmio’s recent form has been a mixed bag. They secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Juventude at the Arena do Grêmio on October 26, with Carlos Vinícius scoring twice to lift the spirits of the fans. However, just a week earlier, they had been humbled 4-0 by Bahia in Salvador, a result that exposed defensive vulnerabilities. Before that, they managed a solid 2-0 home win against São Paulo, showing their ability to rise to the occasion against bigger names. Their October run also included a 1-1 draw away to Santos and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bragantino. This inconsistency has left them hovering around the middle of the table, with their supporters unsure whether to expect a push for continental qualification or a struggle to maintain stability.

Sao Paulo and Flamengo RJ are preparing for another high-profile clash in the Serie A Betano, and both sides enter the encounter with recent form that has been a mix of resilience and inconsistency. Sao Paulo have been in the spotlight over the past two months due to their Copa Libertadores campaign, where they secured important wins against Cobresal and Talleres, while also holding Barcelona SC to a goalless draw. In the domestic league, they have shown flashes of strength, such as a 3-0 away win over Atletico GO and a solid 2-0 victory against Cruzeiro. However, they also stumbled in key matches, including a narrow 2-1 defeat to Fortaleza and a 0-0 stalemate against Palmeiras. The team has been praised for its defensive organization, but questions remain about their ability to consistently break down well-structured opponents.

Flamengo, on the other hand, have been balancing their commitments in Serie A and the Copa Libertadores, with recent results showing both their attacking flair and occasional lapses in concentration. In the past two months, Flamengo recorded a 3-0 win over Volta Redonda and a 2-0 triumph against Vasco da Gama, while also managing a 1-0 victory over Botafogo in the Carioca competition. In continental action, they faced Racing Club and Estudiantes in tightly contested fixtures, underlining their ambition to remain competitive on multiple fronts. Yet, Flamengo have also been held to draws, such as against Portuguesa RJ and Fluminense, which highlighted that while their attack remains potent, they can sometimes struggle to convert dominance into decisive results.

Reading prepare to host Stevenage at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in what promises to be a tense League One encounter. The Royals have been in the headlines recently after parting ways with Noel Hunt and swiftly appointing Leam Richardson as their new manager. Richardson has already spoken about instilling a winning mentality, and his arrival has given the club a sense of renewed direction after a turbulent start to the season. Reading’s supporters have been vocal in their frustrations with ownership and performances, but the recent managerial change has at least provided a fresh narrative. The team remains in the lower half of the table, and every point is crucial as they look to climb away from relegation concerns.

Recent results for Reading have been mixed, reflecting their inconsistency. In October, they managed a 1-0 home win over Northampton Town, followed by a 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers. Before that, they had drawn 1-1 away at Exeter and suffered a 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City. Their EFL Trophy campaign also saw a narrow 1-0 victory against Milton Keynes Dons, showing that they can grind out results when needed. However, the inability to string together consecutive league wins has been their biggest issue. The squad has shown flashes of resilience, but lapses in concentration have cost them valuable points, leaving Richardson with plenty to address in his early days in charge.

AEK Athens enter this Conference League clash with a mixture of confidence and determination, having shown both dominance and vulnerability in recent weeks. In domestic action, they secured a narrow 1-0 away win over Ilioupoli but also suffered a 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos in the Super League. Their European form has been more emphatic, highlighted by a stunning 6-0 demolition of Aberdeen at the OPAP Arena, which underlined their attacking power and ability to overwhelm opponents when momentum is on their side. Off the pitch, AEK have been in the news for transfer developments, including rejecting offers for young forward Zini, who recently extended his contract until 2029, signaling the club’s intent to build for the future. These moves, combined with their recent results, suggest a team that is both ambitious and capable of producing explosive performances when it matters most.

Shamrock Rovers, meanwhile, arrive in Athens as newly crowned champions of the League of Ireland, having clinched their fifth title in six seasons with a 1-0 win over Galway United thanks to Dylan Watts’ decisive free kick. However, their recent form has been inconsistent, particularly in Europe. They fell 2-0 at home to NK Celje in the Conference League and also endured defeats in the domestic league against St. Patrick’s and Shelbourne. Their most recent outing saw them lose 2-1 to Sligo Rovers, a result that highlighted defensive frailties and a lack of sharpness in front of goal. Despite their domestic dominance, the Hoops have struggled to translate that success onto the European stage, where the pace and physicality of opponents often expose their limitations. Manager Stephen Bradley has urged calm, but the pressure is mounting for Rovers to prove they can compete beyond Ireland.

AEK Larnaca enter this Conference League clash with a mixture of confidence and caution, having shown both resilience and inconsistency in recent weeks. In domestic action, they managed a strong 2-0 away win against Enosis Paralimni in mid-October, followed by a hard-fought 1-1 draw with APOEL Nicosia at the end of the month. However, their defensive frailties were exposed in a 4-2 home defeat to Pafos earlier in October, a result that highlighted the need for sharper concentration at the back. On the European stage, they impressed with a 1-1 draw away to Crystal Palace in late October, proving they can compete against higher-profile opponents. The team’s attacking line, led by Riad Bajic and Djordje Ivanovic, has been productive, but their ability to maintain consistency across competitions remains under scrutiny.

Aberdeen, meanwhile, have endured a turbulent run of form in the Scottish Premiership and cup competitions, with results swinging from emphatic victories to heavy defeats. In recent weeks, they secured a convincing 5-2 win over Queen’s Park in April, followed by a dominant 5-0 away triumph against Dundee United in May. Yet, their defensive vulnerabilities were brutally exposed in a 10-0 loss to Rangers earlier in the year, a result that still lingers in the minds of supporters. More recently, they managed a 2-0 win over Partick Thistle and a 3-0 victory against Queen’s Park, showing that their attack can be clinical when given space. The inconsistency, however, raises questions about whether they can handle the tactical discipline required in European competition.

In the past two months, Celje have shown resilience, defeating Shamrock Rovers 2-0 away in Dublin and also securing a memorable 3-1 home win against AEK Athens earlier in October. Their squad has been praised for its balance, with Žan Karničnik continuing to provide leadership at the back and Filip Kovačević emerging as a key attacking threat. The club has also been in the news for its growing ambitions, with management openly stating their desire to establish Celje as a consistent European competitor.

Legia Warszawa, on the other hand, have had a turbulent couple of months, mixing flashes of quality with frustrating inconsistency. In late October, they suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Pogon Szczecin in the Polish Cup, a result that raised questions about their depth and defensive stability. However, they did manage to secure an important 2-1 away win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Conference League, showing that they can still rise to the occasion on the continental stage. Their domestic form has been less convincing, with a goalless draw against Lech Poznań and losses to Zaglebie Lubin and Górnik Zabrze highlighting their struggles in the Ekstraklasa. However, inconsistency has been a recurring theme, with a surprise 1-0 home defeat to AEK Larnaca in Europe and a narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal reminding fans that progress is still a work in progress. The past two months have also seen injury concerns, with Eddie Nketiah and Adam Wharton missing recent fixtures, though Chris Richards has returned to bolster the defense. AZ Alkmaar, meanwhile, arrive in London with momentum from a strong domestic campaign and some impressive European results. In the Eredivisie, they recently dismantled Utrecht 4-1 at home and stunned Ajax with a 2-0 away victory at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, underlining their ability to perform in high-pressure environments. However, their European form has been far more encouraging, with victories over Rosenborg and Zrinjski Mostar giving them confidence heading into this clash. Coach Bo Henriksen has spoken about the “magical” atmosphere of European nights at the Mewa Arena, and young striker Nelson Weiper has been a bright spark, scoring decisive goals in recent Conference League outings. Mainz will be hoping that their home crowd can inspire them to raise their level against one of Italy’s most storied clubs.

In the past two months, Noah have been in the headlines for their strong showing against Olimpija Ljubljana in the qualifying rounds, where they secured a 4-1 away win before following it up with a 3-2 home victory. Their domestic campaign has also seen them battle tightly with rivals like Pyunik and Ararat-Armenia, with a notable 3-1 win over Pyunik in September highlighting their attacking potential. The team’s ability to balance Conference League fixtures with domestic commitments has been a key storyline, and their fans are eager to see if this momentum can carry into the group stage.

However, their most recent outing was a sobering 4-0 defeat to Villarreal, which highlighted defensive vulnerabilities. In Europe, their journey has been more challenging, with a 2-1 defeat to Lincoln Red Imps in October raising questions about their ability to handle away fixtures. Recent news has focused on their continued push for a top-three finish in the league, with Mikael Ishak once again proving to be their talisman in front of goal. The club has also been praised for its youth development pipeline, which continues to produce players for both the senior squad and Poland’s national youth teams.

Samsunspor enter this Conference League clash with growing confidence after a string of encouraging results in both domestic and European competition. In the past month, they have shown resilience by holding Fenerbahce to a goalless draw in the Super Lig and then producing a commanding 3-1 away victory over Kayserispor. Their European form has been equally impressive, with a 1-0 win against Legia Warsaw followed by a dominant 3-0 triumph over Dynamo Kyiv at home. Off the pitch, the club has been in the news for its captain’s bizarre incident in Warsaw when he was briefly dragged off the pitch due to cramp, a moment that highlighted the intensity of their European journey. The team’s ability to balance league commitments with continental fixtures has been a key talking point, and their fans are beginning to believe that Samsunspor can make a serious impact in Europe this season.

Hamrun Spartans, meanwhile, have had a mixed run of form in recent weeks, combining strong domestic performances with some struggles in Europe. In the Maltese Premier League, they secured a vital 3-1 victory over Floriana and followed it up with a 2-0 win against Birkirkara, results that kept them in the upper part of the table. However, their Conference League campaign has been more challenging, with narrow defeats to Jagiellonia Białystok and Lausanne-Sport. Despite these setbacks, Hamrun remain a spirited side, with players like Joseph Mbong and Mouad El Fanis stepping up in key league matches to provide goals and leadership. The club also recently honored former Maltese international Joe Brincat, a reminder of the Spartans’ proud history and their determination to continue building a reputation on the European stage.

Shakhtar Donetsk enter this Conference League clash with a mixture of confidence and caution. In recent weeks, the Ukrainian side has been in the headlines due to ongoing transfer speculation, with clubs like RB Leipzig showing interest in their young talents such as Marlon Gomes and Kevin. Despite the distractions, Shakhtar have remained competitive on the pitch. Their domestic campaign has seen them secure a strong 4-0 win over FK Kudrivka, while in Europe they managed a hard-fought 3-2 away victory against Aberdeen. However, inconsistency has been an issue, highlighted by a surprising 1-4 home defeat to Cherkasy and a narrow 1-2 loss to Legia Warsaw in the Conference League. These results show that while Shakhtar possess attacking firepower, defensive lapses have occasionally undermined their momentum.

Breidablik, on the other hand, arrive from Iceland with a reputation for resilience despite being underdogs in European competition. Their domestic season in the Besta deild has been a rollercoaster, with a recent 3-2 away win over Stjarnan showcasing their ability to grind out results. In Europe, they held KuPS to a 0-0 draw at home, but also suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat away to Lausanne, underlining the gap in quality when facing stronger continental opponents. Losses such as the 1-2 setback against Vikingur Reykjavik in the league further illustrate their vulnerability against sides with more attacking depth. Still, Breidablik’s squad has been bolstered by recent signings and loans, including young Icelandic talents returning from abroad, which has given them more options in midfield and defense.

Shelbourne enter this Conference League clash with a mixture of resilience and frustration after a string of mixed results in the Irish Premier Division. Over the past two months, Damien Duff’s side has shown flashes of quality, such as their 2-1 victory over St. Patrick’s Athletic in early May, but they have also stumbled with defeats to Derry City and Waterford. Their most recent outings included a goalless draw against Drogheda United and a narrow loss to Bohemians, underlining their difficulty in turning possession into decisive goals. Off the pitch, Shelbourne have been in the news for their continued push to strengthen their squad depth, with Duff emphasizing the importance of balancing domestic commitments with European ambitions. The Dublin club’s supporters are eager to see their team translate their gritty league performances into a strong showing on the continental stage.

Drita, meanwhile, arrive from Kosovo’s Superliga with a reputation for being a tough and organized side, particularly in European qualifiers. In the past two months, they have been active both domestically and in Europe, recording a 2-1 win over Differdange in the Conference League qualifiers and holding KuPS to a 1-1 draw. Their domestic form has been steady, with victories against Gjilani and Malisheva, though they also suffered setbacks such as a 2-0 defeat to Ballkani. Recent headlines around the club have focused on their ability to compete against more established European teams, with manager Zekirija Ramadani stressing the need for discipline and tactical awareness. Drita’s squad, featuring experienced campaigners and emerging talents, has shown resilience in tight matches, which makes them a dangerous opponent for Shelbourne.

Shkendija’s return to European competition has been marked by mixed fortunes in recent weeks, with the Macedonian side showing flashes of resilience but also inconsistency. In domestic play, they recently secured a 3-2 away victory over Brera Strumica after a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Vardar Skopje. In the Conference League, they managed a hard-fought 1-0 win against Shelbourne at the Tose Proeski Arena, but that came after a disappointing 2-0 loss away to Rayo Vallecano. These results highlight a team that can rise to the occasion at home but struggles to maintain momentum on the road. The squad has been buoyed by the form of Fabrice Tamba, who has been a consistent attacking outlet, while their defense has shown vulnerability against higher-tempo opposition.

Jagiellonia, on the other hand, enter this clash with a stronger run of form, particularly in the Polish Ekstraklasa where they have been scoring freely. In the past month, they recorded a commanding 4-0 home win over Arka Gdynia and followed it up with a 3-1 victory against Korona Kielce. Their European campaign has also been steady, with a 1-0 home win against Spartans and a valuable 1-1 draw away to Strasbourg. Even in defeat, such as the narrow 2-1 loss to Gornik Zabrze, they have shown attacking intent and the ability to create chances. Players like Jesús Imaz and Afimico Pululu have been central to their recent success, giving them a sharper edge in the final third compared to their upcoming opponents.

Sparta Prague enter this Conference League clash with a mixture of confidence and caution, having shown resilience in both domestic and European competitions over the past two months. Their recent league form has been steady, with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague and a convincing 3-0 away win at Baník Ostrava. In Europe, they impressed with a 4-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Rijeka. Off the pitch, Sparta have been in the news after a Conference League fixture was briefly suspended due to torrential rain, highlighting the unpredictable conditions they have had to adapt to. Manager Brian Priske has emphasized the importance of squad rotation, particularly as the team juggles domestic ambitions with European commitments.

Raków Częstochowa, meanwhile, have been navigating a challenging period in the Polish Ekstraklasa while also keeping their European hopes alive. Their last two months have seen mixed results, including a 0-0 draw with Lech Poznań and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Cracovia, but they also managed to secure a 2-0 win over Motor Lublin and a 1-0 away victory at GKS Katowice. The club has been in the spotlight for its defensive discipline, though questions remain about their ability to consistently convert chances in attack. With a relatively young squad and a manager keen on tactical flexibility, Raków have shown they can frustrate stronger opponents, but their lack of cutting edge in front of goal has been a recurring theme.

Finally, the only defeat conceded in this series of seven matches was probably the least expected, on the lawn of the GA Eagles as part of the 3rd day of this Europa League 2-1. In the league, recently, the Villains beat Tottenham 1-2 or Manchester City 1-0.

Difficult start to the European campaign for Maccabi Tel Aviv who only scored one small goal and conceded six times. At the heart of this Europa League, Bétis has still not lost a single match but has only won one, on the road, against Ludogorets 0-2. On the previous day, the Verdiblancos went for a draw at Genk 1-1 while it all started with a share of points with Nottingham Forest at home 2-2. Before its championship match against Mallorca last weekend, Bétis had conceded only one defeat in its last ten performances in all competitions, against Atlético Madrid in La Liga 0-2. For the moment, it is a perfect that stands on the path of Lyon with 3 victories in 3 days. The adventure started timidly on the Utrecht turf 0-1, continued with style for the reception of RB Salzburg victory 2-0 and a perfectly negotiated meeting against the Swiss FC Basel victory 2-0. 5 goals scored and above all 0 conceded, the Gones are well in the game in this C3 being 3rd in the company of Braga and the Danes of Midtjylland as the only teams with 3 successes after 3 days.

In Ligue 1, the Rhone residents seem to be sinking somewhat following their defeats against Toulouse at home 1-2 and on the pitch at Nice straight away 3-2. And while the supporters thought they would see their team return to seriousness by beating Strasbourg 2-1, they ultimately produced a pitiful poor performance against Paris FC. Leading three goals to nothing, Lyon was subsequently caught by the promoted team! 3-3. It remains to be seen whether the quarter-finalist of the Europa League last year will have found a smile again following his trip to Brest in the weekend, with the result to follow.

Not at the level of the Champions League last year, Bologna seems better suited to have a good run in the Europa League this season. On the other hand, the continuation was less good with a surprise loss conceded, at home, against Ferencvaros 0-1 and a draw preserved at home against Betis Sevilla 0-0. Qualification for the next round is still a long way off for this Red Star team which has struggled to convince on the European scene for several years. This season again, the Serbs are encountering a lot of problems to do well in this Europa League. Because after obtaining an opening draw against Celtic 1-1 in front of their home crowd, they were dominated in quick succession on the pitches of FC Porto 2-1 then Braga 2-0. Consequently, with only one point collected so far, the Belgrade players only occupy 30th place in this Europa League regular season. On the other hand, in its own championship, Red Star is still in the running to win a new national championship title and it is battling with its neighbor and rival Partizan who has the same number of points. But the locals remain on 2 against performances achieved against Radnicki 0-0 and Vojvodina 3-2. They will try to get back on track against Radnik next weekend.

For their part, Lille intends to have an interesting run in this competition where they had an excellent start by winning their first two matches, first against the Norwegians of Brann 2-1 then against the Italians of Roma 0-1. However, the Mastiffs were then surprised at home by PAOK Salonika after a spectacular match where Bruno Genesio had rotated his squad quite a bit. At the same time, in Ligue 1, the Northerners are in ambush to get closer to the top. But after putting up a demonstration against Metz 6-1, Lille was then dominated on the field of OGC Nice 2-0. On Sunday, they will undoubtedly want to move forward at home against Angers.

Who would have bet on the fact that FC Midtjylland would be at the top of the Europa League standings after the first 3 days? And yet, the Danes are indeed leading the way in this C3 following these 3 victories won since the start of the competition against Sturm Graz 2-0, Nottingham Forest 2-3 and finally against Maccabi Tel Aviv last month 0-3. The Wolves are therefore very well on their way to qualifying for the next round of this competition, probably by avoiding having to go through the play-offs. In the league, FC Midtjylland is in 2nd place in the Danish Superliga with 2 points behind AGF despite its big success against Fredericia 0-4. This weekend, the locals will host the leader in an attempt to overtake him in the standings. If Midtjylland has made it so far in this Europa League, the same cannot be said for Celtic.

However, the Scots are not far behind either as they are in 21st position with 4 points on the clock. Able to get a point on the Red Star field 1-1, the Glasgow players then had to surrender against Braga 0-2 before gaining the upper hand over a Sturm Graz team 2-1 reduced to 10. At the same time, Celtic are clearly not in their best form in the league since they are 6 points behind Hearts, the leader, after their defeat against the same team 3-1 on October 26. Fortunately, on the national scene, the GYM is a hit having gleaned three successive victories against OL 3-2, on the pitch of Rennes 1-2 and last week against LOSC 2-0. Far from being considered favorites when it came to the Losc field on the last day, PAOK Salonika nevertheless pulled off a very nice move by winning in the North of France despite a big scare at the end of the match 3-4. A welcome success for this Greek team which had previously been held to a draw by Maccabi Tel Aviv 0-0 and dominated by Celta Vigo 3-1. Otherwise, in the championship, the club from the city of Thessaloniki still occupies the head of the ranking ahead of Olympiakos before going to the Panserraikos field next weekend where it will aim for a 4th consecutive success. In the Bundesliga, the Swabians are in ambush for a place in the top 4. Winners of Mainz in the league 2-1 and in the Cup 0-2 in the space of a few days, Sebastian Hoeness' players go to Leipzig during an important poster of the 9th day on Saturday.

Opposite, FC Feyenoord is in a similar accounting situation to that of its opponent of the day. Indeed, the Dutch had been beaten in their first 2 matches in this tournament played against Braga 1-0 and Aston Villa 0-2 but they then found a smile again by winning at home against Panathinaikos 3-1 in order to put themselves back at the gates of the top 24. Everything is going well, however, in the championship for the Rotterdam club which is at the top of the ranking in Eredivisie, tied on points with PSV before its scheduled match against Volendam on Saturday.

It will undoubtedly be complicated for FC Utrecht to be able to go beyond the regular season of this Europa League. This team is indeed one of the bad students of this C3 at the moment since it has still not unlocked its counter after 3 days. Too average, the Dutch were beaten by Lyon 0-1, Brann 1-0 and by Friborg 2-0 and they are therefore in 35th place in the ranking out of 36 before the start of this 4th day. Utreg is also struggling to do well in his championship where he is floundering in the soft underbelly of the ranking for the moment. Largely beaten by AZ Alkmaar 4-1, Ron Jans' men will try to revive against NEC Nimèges. Unlike their opponent of the day, FC Porto has already started to capitalize in this Europa League.

The Portuguese had indeed been able to win their first 2 matches played against RB Salzburg 0-1 and against Red Star Belgrade 2-1 but they were cut off in their momentum by Nottingham Forest 2-0 on the last day, thus losing contact with the top 8 in the ranking. Everything remains possible, however, for Francesco Farioli's players who are only one point behind 8th place. In the league, the Dragons are still at the top of the standings ahead of their Lisbon rivals Sporting and Benfica. After being able to get rid of Moreirense, Porto will host BRaga on Sunday evening.
