The Premier League is one of the biggest and best football leagues in the world, regarded by many as being the best there is. This season, we have three high-quality teams in the title race, and that could lead to the season giving us one of the most exciting league title races we have ever seen.

Manchester City won the league last season, Liverpool won it the year before and Chelsea are also involved, looking to build on their Champions League win from last season, with new boss Thomas Tuchel bringing a spark to the team.

All three are expected to go far in the Champions League and given the fact that two of them contested the final last season, it is clear we are talking about three of the best teams in Europe here.

The season is almost at the halfway stage, and there is nothing to separate the three teams involved in the title race. All three have their positives and negatives, and this has led to Premier League predictions covering all of them to win the title when we get to the end of the season.

But who will take the crown when all the games have been completed?

Can Anyone Stop Manchester City?

After running away with the league title last season, Manchester City are favorites to win the title once again this season. As of December 15, City were 14/25 favorites to retain their crown, while nearest challengers Liverpool were priced up at 14/5. Rounding off the main challengers, Chelsea were priced up at 51/10, with the rest of the teams given little or no chance by the bookmakers.

One of the biggest reasons for City being so strong in the betting is because of their squad depth. They have far more than both Liverpool and Chelsea in this respect. They strengthened in the summer, bringing in Jack Grealish to give them another attacking option, on top of the very good ones they have already.

With all three teams expected to go far in the Champions League, and potentially in domestic cup competitions too, squad players are going to be valuable in this title race. Should all three teams pick up injuries, there is no doubt that City would be able to cope with it better than the other two.

On top of this, there is also the African Nations to consider, with this tournament affecting Liverpool more than anyone else in the Premier League. They will lose both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, who form two thirds of their first choice front three, and they are going to have to try and score goals without these two to maintain their position in the title race until they return.

Chelsea have already proven their ability to win big games with their Champions League win, but they need to prove they can do that over a full season. Get that right, and they certainly have a chance this season.
